Growing up in Pasadena, California, the son of a massage therapist, health and wellness have always been at the forefront of Matthew's Life. Finding the balance between sport, fitness, wellness, and health has been his lifelong journey later bringing him to therapeutic touch.
At St. Francis High School in La Canada he first began studying Athletic Training and Sports Medicine under Eli Hallak M.Ed., ATC, EMT. This later led him to CSUN where he received his B.S. in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Science. His most impactful experiences at CSUN came from implementing Hands-on Therapeutic Exercise Programs, offered at the Brown Center for Achievement, where he tailored Therapeutic Aquatic and Land exercises for individuals with physical inabilities. This is where he began to truly observe therapeutic change first hand.
After graduating he spent time as his Grandfather’s caregiver in Brooklyn, NY helping him rehabilitate after long bouts in the hospital. This experience one again reaffirmed for him the therapeutic impact of exercise, assisted stretch, and massage on the body. Returning to California he became the Director for Assisted stretching at Stretch by LAF in Huntington beach and Valencia California. This journey later sparked his clear direction into massage therapy where he pursued his education at the Hands on Healing Institute in Tujunga studying under Eloise Albrecht.
